Type-ST fiberglass decklid for 2015-2020 Ford Mustang
Anderson Composites VIP carbon fiber parts are manufactured by spraying a coat of resin on the mold, sheets of carbon fiber fabric are laid out across the mold and then a final coat of resin is applied on the fabric before being placed inside a vacuum sealed bag to cure (provides an excellent fabric-to-resin ratio). Once cured, the part is removed from the mold, trimmed and a final coat of gel coat applied and polished to protect the surface and increase the high luster finish. No additional clear coat is required.
Fiberglass "skeleton" bonded to underside of fiberglass trunk for strength and support (matte black enamel finish)
BACKUP CAMERA MOUNT WILL NEED TO BE RELOCATED FROM THE OE BLACK PLASTIC TAILLIGHT PANEL TO THE INSIDE OF THE FIBERGLASS TRUNK, THIS MAY REQUIRE CUSTOM WORK.
Mounts with OE hardware - Requires normal pre paint prep; including sanding and primer. Occasional surface blemishes may be present as a result of the manufacturing process. These blemishes are removed during the normal sanding and preparation process required when painting any vehicle body component.
